- Capturing rainwater in their own reservoirs
- Using natural crop protection
- Dosed water supply Reusing CO2 emissions from gas as a fertiliser
- New greenhouse with diffusion glass

Breeding strong Alstroemerias

beauty and strength from within
H.M. Tesselaar also have their own breeding programme, where they carry out research into characteristics that can further enhance the quality of this fabulous flower. This also gives them the opportunity to respond to wishes from the market. They develop Alstroemeria varieties that offer florists even more creative possibilities and can be easily transported. They introduce a number of new varieties every year.

Long-lasting blooms

Three tips for extended flowering
The grower would also like to share the most important tips to ensure long flowering of the Alstroemeria:

1. Do not allow any leaves to hang in the water. That will prevent the water from becoming contaminated quickly.
2. Remove wilted flowers.
3. Avoid contact with ripening fruit, since the flower is sensitive to ethylene.
